Pearls of Head and Neck Imaging: Focus on Temporal Bones
Dear Participants,
We are delighted to welcome you to the Workshop on Temporal Bone Imaging.
This focused educational session is designed to enhance your understanding and interpretation skills of temporal bone imaging through a combination of didactic lectures and comprehensive case reviews. The emphasis throughout the workshop will be on mastering the radiological anatomy of the temporal bone, with particular attention to everyday clinical scenarios and subtle findings that can challenge even experienced radiologists.
Key Topics Include:
- Conductive & Sensorineural Hearing Loss
- Paediatric Temporal Bone Imaging
- Temporal Bone Tumors & Jugular Foramen Lesions
- Implants, Prostheses & Petrous Apex Lesions
- Subtle Temporal Bone Lesions & Trauma
- Temporal Bone Infections & Tinnitus
By the end of this workshop, participants will have gained a solid foundation in temporal bone anatomy and pathology, and will be equipped with the confidence and skills needed to accurately interpret routine and complex temporal bone imaging studies.
We look forward to an engaging and insightful learning experience together.
Warm regards,
Mohammad Asif Dogar

Learning Objectives
By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Review the imaging anatomy of the temporal bone and its clinical relevance in otologic evaluation.
- Apply appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for high-resolution evaluation of the temporal bone.
- Differentiate imaging findings associated with conductive versus sensorineural hearing loss.
- Interpret post-operative imaging of the temporal bone and recognize expected findings versus complications.
- Assess imaging approaches in the evaluation of tinnitus and identify potential underlying structural causes.
- Strengthen diagnostic confidence in correlating imaging findings with clinical presentations in temporal bone pathology.
