Learning objectives:

  • Briefly walk the audience through clinical ethics scope of work, and integration with critical care delivery/ transplantation and bedside practice,
  • Illustrate opportunities for transplant ethics principles to be incorporated into transplant patients care and in critically ill patients, especially ICU based care,
  • Provide a case based scenario to highlight the advisory role for clinical ethics committee/service and what common patient case triggers are for calling an ethics consultation for your patients.
