Mahwish Ahmad, MD, MPH, HEC-C

Dr. Mahwish Ahmad, MD, MPH, HEC-C joined the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Team (CCAD) as the Program lead for Clinical & Organizational Ethics in 2022 and Chairs the CCAD Clinical Ethics Committee. She joined from the Center for Ethics, Humanities & Spiritual Care at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Ohio, having served as a Staff Ethicist there for the past six years. At CCAD, she caters to the clinical ethics needs of physician, nursing, and caregiver colleagues, as well as provides policy support for organizational ethics asks to optimize patient care. She is currently serving as the President for Women's Professional Staff Association,(WPSA) CCAD Chapter, after having served as the Co-Chair for Professional Development at CCAD WPSA through 2023, and having supported WPSA members as WPSA President-Elect for the past year in 2024.
Dr. Ahmad has worked as an educator in the CCF Centers for Excellence in Healthcare communication and holds various academic appointments including Assistant Professor in the Case Western Reserve University Lerner College of Medicine, and as adjunct faculty at Bioethics department at Case Western Reserve University, USA. Dr. Ahmad has previously collaborated with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine’s (CCLCM) Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Steering Committee, in efforts to support and enhance visibility for diverse teaching faculty and trainees.
