Falak Sayed, MBBS, MSc, JBEM, LFOM

Dr. Falak Sayed is a dual board-certified Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Occupational Health, with a Master’s in Clinical Education and a Licentiateship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (Ireland). She brings together frontline clinical expertise and academic leadership to advance system-wide change in healthcare delivery and education.
As Founder and Chair of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Wellness Committee at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, the first initiative of its kind in the region, Dr. Sayed has pioneered institution-wide efforts to support physician wellness, reduce burnout, and embed a culture of wellbeing into medical training and faculty development.
A passionate advocate for gender equity and inclusive leadership, Dr. Sayed serves as President-Elect of the Women’s Professional Staff Association. In this role, she leads strategic initiatives that support professional advancement, mentorship, and representation of women across all levels of healthcare.
Her academic interests span curriculum design, simulation-based leadership development, and the integration of wellbeing frameworks in clinical education. She has led these innovations as Core Faculty for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, where she has mentored the next generation of physicians in both clinical excellence and professional resilience.
Dr. Sayed’s work is grounded in systems thinking, collaborative change, and a deep commitment to creating inclusive, supportive environments for women and all professionals in medicine.
