Francesco Pichi has served as consultant of retina and uveitis in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for 9 years, and as Ophthalmology Residency Program director for 5 years. He is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University and has to his credit more than 170 peer reviewed publications. He has authored 12 chapters in various text books and published a book on “Complications in uveitis”. He was awarded for the best paper presentation at American Academy of Ophthalmology 2015, 2017 and 2024, and at International Ocular Inflammatory Society in 2019, and also received the International Ophthalmology Educational Award (2016), the International Scholar Award (2018), the Achievement Award (2018) and the Lifelong Education award (2023) from AAO.

He is a reviewer of various peer reviewed international ophthalmology journals and Section Editor for “International Ophthalmology”.
