
2025 AAHCI Regional Meeting | Global Health Systems and Workforce Summit
The AAHCI Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Office host, the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), is co-hosting this in-person meeting, along with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), to provide members in the region an opportunity to dive in on Physician Workforce and Health Systems Science (HSS).
Global Physician Workforce Objectives:
▪ Analyze Global Workforce Shortages: Provide a comprehensive overview of the factors contributing to global physician workforce shortages, including variations in physician training, distribution, and licensing standards.
▪ Evaluate Mitigation Strategies: Identify and analyze strategies employed worldwide to mitigate physician workforce shortages, using case studies and outcomes data to evaluate their effectiveness.
▪ Assess Legislative Impacts: Review and assess the impact of recent legislative changes in North America on the global physician workforce, with a focus on how these changes influence physician immigration, education, and practice.
Health Systems Science Objectives:
▪ Integrate Improvement and Safety Principles: Recognize the necessity of integrating improvement and safety principles into daily practice and fostering an organizational culture that prioritizes these values.
▪ Optimize Healthcare Delivery Models: Understand the benefits of healthcare delivery models that are efficient, economical, and committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, including value-based care models and the role of clinical informatics.
▪ Promote Leadership and Innovation: Understand effective leadership strategies and the impact of innovation and artificial intelligence in promoting a high-value, collaborative, and cost-effective healthcare system
