Brad Moore, MD, MPH, FACP, DipABLM is Director of the Lifestyle Medicine Program at The GW Medical Faculty Associates and Associate Professor of Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, he has dedicated his career to advancing evidence-based strategies for prevention and increasing healthspan and longevity.
Dr. Moore’s academic and clinical work centers on lifestyle medicine, nutrition, preventive health, and the science of healthy aging. His recent research explores innovative ways to motivate sustained physical activity, including the use of handgrip strength as a practical measure to encourage resistance training—an essential factor in maintaining muscle mass and extending healthspan. He has also received a grant from the Ardmore Institute of Health to integrate lifestyle medicine conversations into discharge planning at GW University Hospital, bridging clinical care with long-term health outcomes.
He is affiliate faculty with the George Washington University Global Food Institute, a member of the Medical Advisory Board for the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and serves on the Board of Directors of the GreenFare Health and Wellness Foundation. Widely recognized for his leadership in lifestyle medicine, he has been named a “Top Doctor” by Washingtonian Magazine and a “Top Primary Care Physician” by Washington Consumers’ Checkbook.
Dr. Moore is a frequent invited speaker and podcast guest, including on Aging Matters, where he discussed the role of lifestyle in extending healthspan. His expertise on nutrition, Blue Zones, fasting-mimicking diets, and other lifestyle-based approaches to longevity reflects his commitment to helping patients and communities harness the power of daily choices to prevent and even reverse chronic disease.
