Daniel Guerron, MD

Dr. Daniel Guerron, MD, is a Staff Physician within the General Surgery Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Digestive Disease Institute.
After completing his medical degree at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador, he completed a dedicated research period of training in basic and translational research at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC, US.
He completed his residency in general surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, US, where he was the recipient of the 2015 Steiger Award granted to a Surgical Resident for significant research contributions. He complemented his surgical training with an advanced gastrointestinal minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, US.
Dr. Guerron is the director of Comprehensive Core Health and Hernia Treatment Center at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He has published several original scientific articles, outcomes research, review articles and book chapters related to laparoscopy, hernia, surgical innovation, and bariatrics. Dr Guerron is involved in residency and fellowship training.
Dr. Guerron is passionate about clinical excellence and patient-centered care, with a particular focus on surgical research and innovation. His specialty interests include abdominal reconstruction and complex hernia, metabolic surgery, advanced endoscopy and robotic surgery.
