Dr. Safa Hegazin is a board-certified obesity and lifestyle medicine consultant with a rich and diverse background in internal medicine. She earned her medical degree in 2007 in Jordan and began her career as a migration health physician with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). She later moved to the U.S., where she completed her Internal Medicine Residency in Baltimore, Maryland, and served as a hospitalist at Ohio State University.

In 2017, Dr. Hegazin joined Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where she worked under MSI as a hospitalist until 2022. She currently serves as an obesity medicine consultant with the Digestive Disease Institute.

Dr. Hegazin is certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and holds a SCOPE certificate from the World Obesity Federation. She is also a certified menopause specialist through the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). In addition to her clinical work, she is an assistant professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, where she shares her passion for education and innovation in healthcare.
